Amazon is adding the Activity Feed and other features from its Quick desktop app to the AI assistantโs mobile apps for iOS and Android.
The Activity Feed is the signature feature of Amazon Quick. It combines email, Slack messages, calendar invites and CRM updates into one prioritized list, and lets people act on items (opening and responding to emails, for example) without switching apps.
Amazon said Wednesday that the Quick desktop app, released in preview in April, is now generally available on Windows and macOS. The company also said Quickโs agents now run in the cloud, so they keep working after a laptop is closed and deliver results to the feed.
The desktop and mobile apps now sync, as well, so a task started on a laptop can be picked up on a phone, for example.
Quick has a free tier, with paid individual plans starting at $20 per user per month billed annually, and business plans running $20 to $40 per user per month.
Quick is Amazonโs entry in a crowded market for AI assistants at work, competing with Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic and others. Amazonโs announcements cited business customers for Quick including Southwest Airlines, LabCorp and the PGA Tour.
The desktop app came together fast, as part of a new effort inside Amazon to use small teams to move quickly: Swami Sivasubramanian, the AWS vice president of agentic AI, told GeekWire in June that a team of about six engineers started in late January and shipped April 28.

Cardanoโs development roadmap for its Dijkstra-era scaling work has been structured around a two-phase rollout, with Ouroboros Leios and related throughput improvements central to the plan.
The first phase, involving Linear Leios and nested transactions, targets code completion in the fourth quarter of 2026. A second phase, involving Ouroboros Peras, is planned for the second quarter of 2027.
This is a roadmap story, not an adoption victory lap.
Cardano has long talked about scaling toward much larger user numbers, but those goals remain future ambitions. The important news here is the technical path being mapped, not proof that one billion users have arrived.
TL;DR
Cardanoโs Dijkstra-era roadmap includes a two-phase scaling plan.
Phase 1 targets Linear Leios and nested transactions in Q4 2026.
Phase 2, involving Ouroboros Peras, is planned for Q2 2027.
Why The Dijkstra Era Matters
Cardanoโs development style is different from many other chains.
The network often moves through research-heavy phases with formal naming, peer-reviewed design, and staged implementation. That can make progress feel slower, but it also reflects Cardanoโs emphasis on correctness and long-term architecture.
The Dijkstra-era roadmap fits that pattern.
Instead of only chasing short-term throughput headlines, Cardano is laying out a longer scaling path involving protocol-level changes.
For developers and users, the question is whether that path can produce practical improvements in speed, capacity, and application performance.
Leios Is The Main Scaling Piece
Ouroboros Leios is designed to improve Cardanoโs throughput by changing how transaction and block processing can scale.
The goal is to let the network handle more activity without abandoning the assumptions that underpin its consensus design. If successful, Leios could support more demanding applications and a larger user base.
But it is not live yet.
The roadmap gives development targets, not completed deployment. Code completion, testing, review, and implementation all matter before users feel any effect.
That is why the timeline needs to be treated carefully.
Nested Transactions Could Improve Flexibility
Nested transactions are another part of the first phase.
They could give developers more flexibility in how transactions are structured and processed. That can matter for complex applications, especially in DeFi, identity, payments, and multi-step workflows.
Cardano has sometimes been criticized for developer friction compared with faster-moving ecosystems.
Roadmap items like nested transactions are part of the effort to reduce that friction and make the chain more useful at scale.
Peras Adds Another Layer
The second phase, involving Ouroboros Peras, is planned later.
Peras is tied to improving settlement and finality dynamics, which can affect user experience and application design. Faster or more reliable finality can make a network feel smoother, especially for financial applications.
Again, the details matter.
A planned Q2 2027 phase gives the market a timeline to track, but not a guarantee. Cardanoโs community will watch whether milestones are met and whether the improvements translate into real usage.
The Measured Read
Cardanoโs roadmap shows continued work on scaling, but it does not settle the adoption question.
A network can have a strong technical plan and still need developers, liquidity, applications, and users. The Dijkstra-era roadmap is one piece of that larger puzzle.
For ADA holders, the significance is that Cardano is still investing in base-layer throughput and long-term architecture.
For builders, the important question is whether the upgrades make applications easier and more powerful to build.
The ambition remains large. Now the chain has to execute phase by phase.

A new Warner Bros. Discovery lawsuit against Amazon, accusing the tech giant of poaching a top HBO Max marketing executive 16 months before her contract expired, comes with an unusual request: a court order barring Amazon from hiring any employee of the media conglomerate as long as theyโre under contract.
The suit, filed July 21 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, centers on Pia Barlow, the longtime HBO Max executive who was announced last week as Amazon MGM Studiosโ new head of series marketing. Her Warner Bros. Discovery contract ran through October 2027.
She resigned in June and was due to start at Amazon on Aug. 3.
Warner Bros. Discovery accuses Amazon of โhurriedly seeking to pirate away a number of contracted employees,โ calling the company a โdigital bull in a china shopโ that chose to build its entertainment workforce by raiding Hollywood rather than hiring from scratch.
The suit says Amazon tried weeks earlier to recruit another WBD executive under contract through December 2027 and failed, and was pursuing at least one more when the suit was filed.
The complaint says Barlowโs departure โconveyed a troublesome message throughout Plaintiffsโ executive ranksโ โ that contractual commitments could be disregarded โwhenever a larger paycheck appears.โ
Amazon declined to comment in response to GeekWireโs inquiry.
Itโs led by Mike Hopkins, head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios.
Warner Bros. Discovery itself is in the middle of being sold. Paramount Skydance agreed in February to buy the company for about $81 billion, outbidding Netflix, but 12 state attorneys general sued this month to block the deal, and Paramount has pushed its closing deadline to as late as June 2027.
The complaint goes further, alleging Amazon didnโt just recruit Barlow but also picked her lawyer. Warner Bros. Discovery says the firm now representing her is based less than a mile from Amazonโs Seattle headquarters and โhas a well-publicized, long-standing relationship with Amazon as outside litigation counsel,โ and that Amazon is paying its fees. The firm isnโt named in the complaint.
Barlow, who lives and works in Los Angeles, is not a defendant.
Warner Bros. Discovery says its lawyers exchanged letters with Amazon and with that attorney before filing suit, demanding Barlow not leave. It makes the fee allegation on โinformation and belief,โ a legal phrase indicating a claim based on inference rather than direct evidence.
