The Bitcoin vs. Nasdaq Signal Has Flipped Bullish
Tech stocks are selling off, and Bitcoin is holding. Todayβs Chart of the Day looks at Bitcoin priced in tech stocks, the Bitcoin-to-Nasdaq ratio, which reclaimed its 200-day moving average on September 18 after 235 straight sessions below it and hasnβt closed under it since. Sean Hagan walks through why Bitcoin was higher one year after reclaims like this five of six times with a median gain of roughly 84%, why this cycleβs 62% reset was the shallowest on record, and what the 2021 fake-out looked like by comparison. He also gives his invalidation level and his $100K line in the sand.

TL;DR: Super League shareholders have approved proposals connected to Metaplanetβs plan to contribute 2,100 BTC and cash to a new US-listed Bitcoin treasury platform.
Metaplanetβs proposed American Bitcoin treasury vehicle has moved a step closer to reality, but the transaction has not yet closed. Super League Enterprise said shareholders approved the relevant proposals at their annual meeting on October 16, clearing an important hurdle in the arrangement announced earlier this year.
Under the deal, Metaplanetβs US subsidiary would contribute 2,100 Bitcoin and $2.5 million in cash to Super League. After closing, the Nasdaq-listed company is expected to change its name to Superplanet and trade under the ticker SUPA.
The arrangement gives the Japanese Bitcoin treasury specialist a potential US capital-markets platform, while Super League would retain its existing advertising and media business as an operating segment.
Importantly, the shareholder vote is not the same as completion. Regulatory filings, Nasdaq requirements and other customary closing conditions remain outstanding, with the companies currently targeting the fourth quarter.
The proposed structure also raises questions that extend beyond the Bitcoin price. Investors will need to watch how ownership is allocated, how additional capital could be raised and whether the operating business changes the risk profile of a Bitcoin-heavy public company.
For now, the news is a procedural milestone in an unusual cross-border deal β not evidence that 2,100 BTC has already arrived on the balance sheet.

Bitcoin Nears $85,000 as SpaceX Earnings Reignite Risk Appetite
Bitcoinβs price rose above $84,500 on Wednesday as investors flooded back into risk-on assets β particularly tech-related stocks.Β
The leading cryptocurrency was recently priced at $84,461 after rising nearly as high as $84,588 earlier on Wednesday morning in New York.Β
Over a 24-hour period, the coin is up 2%. Zooming out over a seven-day timeframe and it is up 3%.Β

Bitcoinβs rise comes as SpaceX reported surging revenue growth in its third quarter, and its owner, Elon Musk, talked of a potential SpaceX-Tesla merger.
SpaceX β which debuted in June on the Nasdaq in the biggest initial public offering ever β reported third-quarter revenue on Tuesday of $14.6 billion, up 161% from the previous year and smashing estimates.Β
Technology stocks rallied on the news. Bitcoin has in the past risen with risk assets and been correlated with the Nasdaq.Β
But this year, the OG cryptocurrency has moved with gold as the so-called debasement trade becomes hot again. The trade is when investors buy certain assets to hedge against currency being devalued.Β
The dollar slid in value in August after the U.S. Treasury Department said it would more than double the size of its government debt repurchases. Bitcoin had its best quarterly run in three years and third best August ever.Β Β Β
U.S. investors this week have piled back into spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds, too. On Monday and Tuesday, the funds managed by BlackRock, Fidelity, Grayscale, and others received new investment of over $549 million, according to Coinglass data.Β
Bitcoinβs price is still over 30% below its all-time high of $126,080 β reached in October 2025 β but analysts are saying the cryptocurrency is now back in a bull market after spending most of this year in a bear.Β

WISeKey has completed the legal restructuring that turns the listed cybersecurity group into WISeQey Corp., setting up a new WQEY ticker for next week.
The cross-border merger became legally effective October 1, with Swiss-based WISeKey absorbed into its British Virgin Islands subsidiary. WISeQey is the surviving company.
The corporate domicile changes. The business says its operational headquarters and place of effective management will remain in Switzerland.
Existing securities trade through FridayWISeKey says its current Nasdaq ADSs and Swiss Class B shares will continue trading through the close on October 2.
WISeQey ordinary shares are then expected to begin trading under the ticker WQEY on both Nasdaq and the SIX Swiss Exchange at the market open on October 5.
The transaction also changes how existing securities convert. Each WISeKey ADS is due to be exchanged for one-half of one WISeQey ordinary share, while each Class B share generally converts into one WISeQey ordinary share unless the holder elected the alternative unlisted Class B structure.
This is a corporate reorganisation, not a token migration.
The crypto relevance sits in WISeKeyβs technology portfolioWISeKey operates across cybersecurity, digital identity, semiconductors, space IoT and blockchain-connected products. Its wider group has also been pushing into post-quantum security and decentralised infrastructure.
That puts it near several themes crypto investors follow, but the October 1 event itself is about jurisdiction and listing structure.
Public and regulated markets are already absorbing more digital-asset exposure, from CFTC-regulated crypto derivatives to tokenized equity platforms.
WISeQeyβs direct ordinary-share listing belongs to the corporate side of that convergence rather than the token side. Similar convergence is showing up in tokenized bank-deposit infrastructure, where conventional financial claims are being moved onto programmable rails.
The new ticker is the next visible milestoneThe redomiciliation is effective now, but WQEY trading is expected to begin October 5.
That timing matters for holders because a legal merger date and a first trading date are not the same event.
The company says the restructuring is intended to simplify its public-market structure while preserving its international footprint. Investors will soon see the visible result in the ticker. The underlying test, as always, is whether the new structure makes the business easier to finance and operate rather than simply giving it a new corporate wrapper.
