Your phone's Bluetooth audio quality depends on one hidden setting nobody knows about

24 July 2026 at 12:54

Bluetooth is a fantastic feature on mobile phones, but if you use it to listen to your favorite tunes regularly, you might notice it sometimes sounds dead, tinny, or just plain bad. The culprit might actually be the default codec your phone is using for Bluetooth.

I love the Galaxy Z Fold 8, but it's destined to be the next Galaxy Note Edge

24 July 2026 at 12:15

I love the Galaxy Z Fold 8, I really do. The wide form factor makes it a true pocket tablet while reviving the glory days of phablets. It'll be fast, likely last longer on battery than the Z Fold 7, and take quality (if zoom-free) photos. I'll be ecstatic if it fares well, in part because the mobile space is in desperate need of excitement.

I created my own cheap VR headset using this phone and glasses combo

24 July 2026 at 10:00

I bought a Samsung Galaxy XR headset shortly after its launch, and I learned a lot about how I actually use VR during my time with that device. In the process, I found that there's a cheaper way to do much of what I use the headset for most oftenβ€”one that's also far more comfortable and more portable. All you need is the right kit.

I wish every Android phone copied these 4 Samsung Galaxy features

23 July 2026 at 15:30

Yes, I know that Samsung Galaxy devices are basically the iPhones of the Android world, and there are other, less polished, but more interesting options out there. But Samsung has this market domination for a reason, and part of it comes from its genuinely useful bespoke features.

These 6 LG phones were too weird to survive, but we finally have the tech to do them right

23 July 2026 at 13:30

LG exited the smartphone market five years ago, but before it did, the brand released a frankly shocking number of cool, wild, and uniquely weird phones that helped it stand out from the competition. In fact, the list of weird LG phones is so long that I couldn't fit them all into one article, and I was only focusing on fairly modern Android phones from 2011 onward.

I turned an old phone into the ultimate pocket music server

23 July 2026 at 09:45

Playing music via the command line is a joy for many Linux users. Besides, who wants to pay for a Spotify membership or any other streaming service, when you can stream files to your computer directly from your phone's local storage? Or just listen from the phone itself? I decided to test it out.

I couldn’t find the Android app I wanted, so I used Gemini to build it myself without writing a single line of code

23 July 2026 at 08:15

I love building things in the physical world, but when it comes to software, I have a hard time getting ideas out of my head. Coding is the big barrierβ€”it’s just not something I’ve ever been good at. Recently, however, I’ve been using Gemini in Android Studio, and I’ve made my very first app.
