Seventeen Iranian men have been charged in a cybercrime case being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of NewΒ York.

The accused are members of the Mabna Institute, an Iranian-based company known for hacking U.S. higher education institutions and private sector companies on behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard CorpsΒ (IRGC).
